I've spent fifteen years in talent, most of it in-house leading Talent Acquisition for an operator-scale telco across the US, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, then moving into UK deep tech.
Operator-scale telco and pre-revenue deep tech are very different worlds, but the underlying problem is the same: the people you actually need are rarely the ones applying. Finding them takes sector knowledge, real outreach, and the patience to build a pipeline rather than chase a deadline.
Folk & Found is the consultancy I wanted to exist when I was on the hiring side. Senior expertise, transparent commercials, and the same partner whether it's your first hire or your fiftieth!
Hi, I’m Lucie. I run Folk & Found
What I bring to the table
Range across the spectrum. I've recruited graduate engineers, RF specialists, hardware leads, VP and Director-level commercial hires, and C-suite appointments. The approach changes at each level - I know how to adjust without needing to be told.
A real network in the space. Built over fifteen years across the Americas, the UK, and Europe. It's not a database; it's people I've actually worked with.
Direct headhunting as standard. The candidates worth hiring rarely apply. Proactive sourcing, considered outreach, and the tools to do it properly are part of the engagement, not an upsell.
Talent advisory baked in. Beyond filling roles, I'll act as a sounding board on hiring sequencing, team shape, and what a role actually needs to be before it's written up. Particularly useful at early stages where those calls are still being made on the fly.
Looking ahead
Recruitment, done well, opens doors for people. As Folk & Found grows, I want part of what we do to support people returning to work after time away - through partnerships with organisations doing that well. More on that as it takes shape.
